your brain needs a break

there's a part of the brain that never turns off.

it monitors. plans. categorizes. runs through the list again just to be sure. it's the part that picks up your phone for no reason. the part that needs one more thing before you can finally relax.

screens feed this part of you. the scroll, the notifications, the inbox — all of it is fuel for the analytical mind. it keeps you in your head instead of in the world.

nature does the opposite.

not because it's pretty (it is). but because something actually shifts when you step outside. you stop planning and start noticing. the chatter slows. you remember what it feels like to just be somewhere without needing it to be anything else.

put your brain down for an hour.

go somewhere screens don't follow. let the part that monitors and plans have nothing to monitor or plan.

you'll come back different. you always do.

much love ✨
