there's a room on dickson street.
we built it for you. it doesn't want anything from you.
we make our money online. the shirts keep the lights on.
so this place doesn't have to sell you anything.
that's the whole idea. a room that isn't trying to convert you, upsell you, or get you back through the door. you don't have to buy a thing. you don't even have to stay long.
you can just.. be here.
walk in and there's coffee on. pour a cup. there's fruit if you're hungry.
over a hundred plants, closer to a hundred and fifty now, and a propagation station if you want to take a little green home with you.
the walls are covered in work from local artists. there's a giving tree where people leave notes and small objects.. take one if it calls to you. leave one if you've got something to give.
an old typewriter that still works. a record player and a crate of records to trade from. guitars you're welcome to pick up and play. couches to sink into. hand-painted murals. a little stage in the corner.
it's analog in here. on purpose.
the coffee's pay-what-you-want. so are the snacks.
we don't set a price. you do. pay what it was worth to you, or don't. we trust you.
before everything had a price tag, people just figured it out — looked each other in the eye and called it fair. we're trying to get back to that.
some mornings there's yoga. some nights there's improv, or a group that just sits together in silence. local musicians play the little stage when the mood's right.
we keep the calendar loose on purpose. follow along here or on instagram and we'll let you know what's coming.
so if you're ever in fayetteville..
come exist in it for a while. read on the couch. repot a plant. play a song badly. say nothing to anyone. or stay till close and help us lock up.
no pressure. no purchase. no reason needed.
the world wants your attention.
we just want to give you a place to have it back.
